tusK (Stuart Chalmers) is electronic music created from the unwanted residues and failings of lo-fi analogue equipment. Using self-made oscillators and contact mics with circuit bent pedals elements to make noisy electro-acoustic improvisations. Everything is improvised in the moment, where structure and direction are composed in the here and now. Each recording is the sound of a raw and unpredictable energy, a physical experience where controlled and chaotic elements merge or conflict.
the french artist Jean Dubuffet kind of sums up this approach "art should always make us laugh a little and be frighten us a little...".
